New Orleans is one of the most visited cities in the United States and we are so glad that you are planning to come out and visit us!

While you are here, we suggest you make a mini-vacation of it and see what everyone has been traveling here for!

Bourbon Street is one of the most famous streets in town. It is known for Mardi Gras where lots of the fun, night-action takes place. Burbon Street is always open filled with bars, clubs and restaurants.

Jackson Square

Also within walking distance from the Quarter – Surrounded by St. Louis Cathedral, the Cabildo, Pirate's Alley, and Cafe Du Monde, the grassy square is the central courtyard of New Orleans. Established in 1718, Jackson Square served as military marching grounds until 1852 and was site of the city's early public executions.

Cafe Du Monde is a very good and very New Orleans. Famous for the chicory coffee and beignets (a squared piece of dough, fried and covered with powdered sugar) it is a great place to have a midnight snack as it is open 24 hours a day and 7 days a week! For the city that never sleeps, this place is ALWAYS busy.

Brennan's Restaurant - One of our favorite restaurants. We recommend the blackened redfish, oysters rockefeller, turtle soup and of course, banana's foster. Practically EVERYTHING there is awesome! Though it is a nice restaurant, there is no dress code!

Jazz Museum – This museum has childhood notes from Harry Connick to piano legend Amand Hug and other items, which trace the history of jazz. The building also has our local music store, The Louisiana Music Factory. Located inside the Old U.S. Mint.

The Aududon Zoo -One of the country’s top-ranked zoos, Audubon Zoo blends the exotic excitement of animals from around the globe with the serenity of its lush gardens. With innovative natural habitat exhibits and an animal collection ranging from white alligators to the majestic Bengal Tigers.

Mardi Gras Museum –Historic Mardi Gras costumes, wigs, and throwing beads. Located in the Old U.S. Mint

Take a ride on the Cable car down St. Charles and see some of the most spectacular mansions and old plantation houses.

www.LouisianaSwamp.com - If you have a day to spare I highly recommend taking a swamp tour. If you don't get a chance to come out on the swamps this is a fun and educational escape! Cheap and memorable!

Aquarium of the Americas – One of the most modern aquariums in the world, the aquarium exhibits include water exhibits of the Caribbean, the Amazon rainforest, Mississippi River and Gulf of Mexico. Located at Canal Street at the river (walking distance from the Quarter)
